Uniform UpdateAugust 2026Big news for the 2026–2027 school year: We’re upgrading our look!
To match our official logo and make sure our school stands out on campus, we’re dropping a brand-new uniform color combo this fall. It’s fresh, stylish, and uniquely ours.
Best part? Every student gets a free brand-new uniform set waiting for them in September!
ReminderSpring 2026Important 8th Grade Dates
Dear 8th grade students and families — please save these important dates:
Saturday, April 25 — Prom Expo. Students must return a permission slip to Ms. Taylor or Ms. Baboolal to attend.
Monday, June 22 — Graduation at 2:30 PM. Each student receives 4 tickets; seating is limited, so no additional tickets can be issued.
Tuesday, June 23 — Prom at Inwood Bar & Grill's private party room, 4:30–8:00 PM.
Wednesday, June 24 — End-of-year Carnival and yearbook distribution.
Thursday, June 25 — Senior Trip to Lake Compounce Amusement Park. Students must arrive at school by 6:45 AM sharp.
Friday, June 26 — Last day of school.

Our student poets brought home the title at the Uptown Bronx Poetry Slam 2025 — M.S. 319 are your 2025 Poetry Slam champions.
Congratulations to every student who stepped up to the mic and represented the Mirabal Sisters Campus with pride.

We're thrilled to highlight the leadership of Gael, our Poet-Athlete of the Week!
Gael impresses teammates and coaches alike with his maturity and passion for poetry — arriving prepared and engaged, whether he's drafting verses, giving thoughtful feedback, or reading his writing aloud.
He stands out for his dedication to supporting younger poet-athletes, modeling the patience, respect, and enthusiasm that strengthen the whole group.

Our students met Ger Duany, one of the “Lost Boys of Sudan” and the inspiration behind A Long Walk to Water — bringing the novel's story to life beyond the page.
EventOctober 27, 2025Character Day Costume Dress-Up Celebration
Students dressed up as their favorite character from a book, movie, or show for Character Day — costumes stayed school-appropriate, with no weapons or horror themes.
Participation was optional, but the creativity and character spirit were on full display.

Family Science Days
Urban Advantage institutions welcomed M.S. 319 students and their families to explore science through hands-on activities and experiences — all events in person.
PerformanceMay 30, 2025MSC Performing Arts Club Presents Beetlejuice!
The Mirabal Sisters Campus Performing Arts Club performed the junior musical Beetlejuice for a live audience at the MSC Auditorium — filled with acting, singing, dancing, and a lot of fun.
Students were coached by Mr. Bance, Ms. Nelson, and Mr. Lynch, who received glowing praise for the production.

The Children's Aid afterschool program sponsored a carnival day with bouncy castles, laser tag, music, and cotton candy.
Best of all, students had a chance to dunk the Community Director, Ms. Traciz Geraldo!
SpotlightMay 23, 2025M.S. 319 Students Perform on Broadway
M.S. 319 students Isis Cruz, Milena Melendez, and Sabrina Correa performed “I See Stars” from the Broadway Junior musical Mean Girls at the 20th Annual Shubert Foundation / Music Theatre International Broadway Junior Student Celebrations at the Ambassador Theatre.
New York City Public School students from all five boroughs performed numbers from their school productions, in a program sponsored by The Shubert Foundation, Music Theatre International, and NYC Public Schools.
